Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon / Terrorgeist
Dragons are a proud and noble race that ruled the skies long before the coming of Chaos. However, like all mortal creatures, they will eventually succumb to old age or injury, and they will fly across entire continents to their final resting place - the Plain of Bones. It is to this inhospitable place that a Vampire will travel to claim an Undead Zombie Dragon as his mount, raising its ruined carcass from the desert sand on a pillar of Dark Magic to do his bidding. A Zombie Dragon is borne aloft by great tattered wings, its body covered with thick, withered hide. Though once it breathed fire capable of melting steel, it now belches forth a cloud of noxious gas, foetid with decay, which strips flesh from bones and corrodes armour. In death, its teeth and claws are as sharp as they were in life, able to tear a knight and his mount clean in half before feeding upon whatever's left.

When such a fearsome monster is used as a steed by a powerful Vampire Lord, even the greatest heroes and sturdiest warriors fight a foe against which there can be no hope of victory.

This multi-part plastic kit contains 85 components with which to build one Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon or one Ghoul King on Terrorgeist. The kit comes with plenty of optional extras, including two different riders - the armoured Vampire Lord, who comes with a huge variety of different weapons, and the rather more bestial Ghoul King, who just uses his claws to tear you up instead. The model is supplied with a 100x150mm monster base and a 20mm square base

Cairn Wraiths are amongst the most powerful of the Undead. Though they lack physical form, their touch drains the life of a mortal. Their very presence fills the air with dread, and most who face them are driven mad with fear long before they are killed. Filled with rage, these vengeful spirits fall upon their enemies, tearing them apart with great sweeps of their ancient, magical scythes. In return, those who do stand against them find their pitiful attacks merely pass straight through the Cairn Wraith, making contact with nothing but foul air and tattered robes. It doesn't take long for the Wraiths to punish them for their insolence.

The most bitter, restless spirits of these evil-hearted women become Tomb Banshees. They constantly howl in remembrance of the pleasures of life that were theirs, and in bitterness for the peace of the grave that they cannot attain. This wail can be lethal to mortals, who often break and run in terror (if they're lucky), or simply die outright, their hearts imploding within their chests when they hear the Banshee's lament. Much like Cairn Wraiths, a Tomb Banshee is impervious to mortal weapons, simply stepping through swords, spears and shields to get to grips with the souls of the living.

Garden of MorrMorr is the God of the Dead and ruler of the underworld. The Gardens of Morr are a place of transition, where physical bodies are put to rest and spirits are allowed to pass into the underworld. Most spirits are allowed to rest easy, safely protected by Morr himself, but some are doomed to haunt the world of the living, consigned to a living death from which there is no escape. It's these ghosts and revenants that haunt the Garden of Morr, frightening those who trespass within it. Only the Priests of Morr, who tend these graveyards, have the fortitude to walk amongst them undeterred.

The Garden of Morr is the perfect scenery piece for a Warhammer battlefield - grim, dark, foreboding and ineffably mysterious. The set includes three mausoleums, a statue of Morr and a series of walls and gates that surrounds them. While they can be set up together, they also work well as individual terrain pieces that can be set up across the battlefield. The Statue could be used as a Sinister Statue in games, while the fences and walls would make an ideal Ghost Fence or Blessed Bulwark to protect your troops. You could even use the mausoleums as Chapels or an Acropolis of Heroes.

Just when you thought we'd run out of monsters, wizards and gribbly creatures, look what we found lurking in the graveyard. With so many huge monstrous beasts now roaming the Warhammer world, the Vampire Counts saw fit to raise a few of their own. Not content with living creatures, the most powerful Vampire Lords have travelled to the Plain of Bones, a distant land where Dragons go to die, and where the Vampires can summon their most powerful Undead steeds.

So it's with great pleasure and a rattle of bones, that we bring you the brand new Vampire Lord on Zombie Dragon - a nightmare combination of powerful Undead warrior and terrifying flying mount that no enemy in their right mind would ever want to fight (well, at least not from the front at any rate). What really stands out about this kit though, is how huge it actually is. When we released the Arachnarok Spider earlier in the year, it came on the biggest base we have ever made for a miniature. The Zombie Dragon comes on the same sized base and it dominates all of it, from the tips of its massive wings to the end of it's tattered tail. But that's not all, oh no, there's more. This kit can also build the monstrous bat-like Terrorgheist - a brand new unit type for the Vampire Counts and one that's just as rotten and almost as ugly as the Zombie Dragon itself.
