ISU-152 was standing in this village for nearly 60 years - there were plans to turn it into memorial by the locals, but due to the lack of funds they've never realized. In 2003 employees of some scientific production company called "Tanais" found this WWII relic and decided to see, if it's possible for them to "revive" it. As you can see, they were successful in their attempt: they'd only changed diesel fuel injection pump, fuel and air filters, and voilà - tank went alive!
You might wonder why they cut a hole in the barrel - to their surprise the gun was pretty much battle-ready (only firing-pin was cut), so they'd decided to "demilitarize" it and weld the breech.
